Todays electric drum kits use digital samples of great sounding acoustic drums loaded onto a memory chip and tiggered by the striking of an extrenal pad. When you hit the pad. the sound of the sampled drum or cymbal is generated, just as if you were playing the original acoustic kit.

Sampled sounds have never sounded perfectly identical to their acoustic counterpart until now. With such an advance in technology the new electric drums provide such a wide varitey of sounds. You can play loun through an amplifier or how i prefer soft through headphones.they’re also a lot more compact than acoustic drums, making them ideal for the bedroom and a lot of gigging.

After a number of years banging away at acoustic sets, not to mention the endless number of complaints from neighbors. I thought to myself there has to something better, but I continued to play ever so loud. I was fortunate enough to have my kit in a room all for jamming, however it came time to move, and that’s when my heart broke. We were moving to a much smaller house and yep you guessed it no room for my drums. The day I sold my acoustic kit was one of the best days of my life.

Immediately I was off to the music store in search for that something better. After a while searching… And I found it in Roland. I purchased the Roland electric drum set v series td9 model. When I got home it took no more of an hour to set my babies up. Even better their new home was my bedroom. With measurement of 1.2m x 1m approx why wouldn’t it be!

What got me excited about the Roland electric drum set was not only Rolands reputation….but the actually quality of their product. The sound source delivers powerful, high quality sounds. The Roland electric drum sets also allow you to record and play along with backing songs and improve your skills with accuracy meters. It has a stronger stand than the td3, and will stand firmly in place. The vast range of 50 different drum sets and over 500 high quality sounds..the ability to customize snare tuning, muffling, cymbal size, sustain and more. You can also create you with own personalized drum sets. You can also practice along with backing songs. The quick Record and play button enables you to quickly capture that beat. The easy to use interface is a breeze to use at home and on stage. Its illuminated buttons, stylish front panel contains a large LCD that displays sound, tempo, and other vital information. Other features enhance performance such as the USB connector, which allows you incorporate audio files. Inputs are also provided for adding pads and triggers.

I am so delighted I purchased my roland electric drum set…the space saving, no noise and endless possibilities… why wouldn’t you? One night i am a punk rocker, bongo player, metal head and playing in an ochestra in just one practice. I have no hesitation and honestly recommend to any one to buy a roland electric drum set
