The Verdict: Music Master Pro is online multimedia drum lessons which will not only teach you drums, but guitar and bass as well. Whichever instrument you decide to learn, im sure the course will take you from beginner level to being a confident intermediate musician using a variety of different teaching methods. Since we are reviewing drum lessons packages here we will concentrate mainly on the drum side of Music Master Pro, however, the other two instruments you can learn with the course are covered in a similar manner. The course is based around e-book lessons which are reasonably well written and contain a lot of useful information. The e-books are supplemented by 18 drum video lessons, 20 audio lessons and a whole host of extra tablature and exercises. Also included is a selection of jam tracks so that you can practise what you have learned to a real backing band. Music Master Pro gives you access to all the course materials online so you can get instant access via their website. The material is well structured, easy to navigate and provides plenty of information to get you started playing the guitar. The course developers claim they have developed a learning method which will help you learn to play extra quickly, but as with all of these methods, your success depends on how you like to learn and whether you are willing to put in the practise time. As well as the main drum lessons material you get some extras when you sign up to Music Master Pro. One of these is a guide to music production which will take you through the basics of how professionals arrange and produce their own music – combined with the included industry listings and record label contact details you could soon be sending off your demo tapes in the hope of becoming a rock star! You also get access to an online beat maker which you can use to easily create drum loops to practise along to and improve your timing. We recommend spending $30 for this course instead of using the free route, because that drum lessons must be done right, if you want to play well plus avoid health problems such as tendonitis. We were surprised at how many free sites teach bad playing habits, give wrong tips and plainly ruin the drumming experience. If you want to go free – do consider this course. But there are more reasons to purchase this course besides its low price. If you want to also learn how to play guitar and bass, this all-in-one course is definitely the most inexpensive way to do so and there are enough extras to keep you interested and practising to turn you into the next Danny Carey or Mike Portnoy Music Master Pro
